EDUCATION
Deported Diaspora is dedicated to educating our communities to guard against deportation. We train streetworkers and youthworkers on deportation awareness and prevention. Our interactive streetworker and youthworker training includes identifying the deportation pipeline within the criminal justice system, know your rights information, actions to help young people avoid negative immigration consequences, deportation prevention strategies and examining deportations impact on communities. Participatory activities and discussions are included in the training. It can also be tailored to your organization's needs.
For information on how to bring our training to your organization, contact us at deporteddiaspora@gmail.com.

ORGANIZING
The Family Unity Network (FUN) is Deported Diaspora's organizing program. Based in Lowell, MA the Network is currently working to ensure family unity is a value of local movements for immigration reform. FUN is also documenting the experience of families in Lowell, MA affected by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids, as well as documenting the history of Cambodian-American's stand against deportation in New England. Many members have been directly affected by detention and deportation and are resources and leaders in their communities for immigrant justice.

REINTEGRATION SUPPORT
Deported Diaspora works to promote programs and organizations supporting the reintegration of deported people. We work closely with the Returnee Intergration Support Center (RISC) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We are also connected to the reintegration program in Cape Verde through our co-founder Suely Neves.
In the future we hope to establish ties to more reintegration programs and assist in connecting people to their services.
